Egbertian Football ClubWelcome to the Egbertian Football Club, a member of the Amateur Football Combination, and based in Chingford, East London. Unlike many of the 250 or so non-league clubs with websites, we are a park football club and represent the tens of thousands of players who turn out every week simply to enjoy their football. On this website we hope to cover all aspects of the Egbertian FC. Our intention is that by the time that you have finished your visit, you will know all there is to know about the Egs while giving you an idea of how a 'grass roots' club live. There is now a section on the Egbertian Association. They reformed several years ago after a gap of some twenty years and the football club hopes to continue forging close and mutually beneficial links with them. All of the Association's members attended St Egbert's College from which the football club derived. The College closed in 1970 but despite this the football club has since gone from strength to strength. Jeff Thomas
